As you choose what you and your family will be wearing, please use my style guide below for reference.

Please give ample time to shop so you feel confident and ready!

Remember, wardrobe IS important - but our priority is the feeling we get to create together.

You may notice that I love tastefully showing skin. It beautifully shares our humanity and connection to those in your family, please keep that in mind when choosing.

MAMAS

You choose first! Ultimately choose what you feel most confident and comfortable in, that suits your figure.

If this is a First 48 or Newborn session, I strongly recommend a hospital robe. This is a great investment because it can be worn during maternity and nursing. I still wear mine to this day and love it! The added touch of this robe helps enhance the photos vs you wearing an ugly hospital gown. It's the perfect boost of confidence after the whirlwind of birth.

MAKEUP + HAIR

Keep it clean + natural.

Love a bold lip? Me too. Go for it!

Braids are incredible!

The more it reflects the beauty of your authentic life, the better.

First 48 session? Pack some dry shampoo and hair bands in your hospital bag. You aren't expected to have clean and perfect hair after delivery!

DADS

Simple cotton tee, sweater, or similar. Rich earth tones.

Pick colors that compliment mama, but not matchy matchy.

If a First 48 or Newborn session, avoid buttons or any fabric that isn't snuggly and pick colors that compliment the hospital robe.

BABIES + KIDS

Pull 1-2 swaddles and onesies. I recommend a classic neutral and a favorite pattern to choose from. Here are some ideas.

Please don't force the kids to wear something they are miserable in.

If a First 48, I like to ditch the ugly hospital swaddles and hats and bring in a personal touch.

COLOR + TONE

Earthy tones that compliment each other, but not too matchy.

Consider a palette that is most authentic to you within this range: black, charcoal, tan, olive green, denim blue, leather brown.

TASTEFULLY SHOWING SKIN

Some of my most timeless work is when babies and toddlers are shirtless and/or in just a diaper.

As you'll see in my work, I invite clients to tastefully show skin. I think it creates depth in what magic we create together.

Please let me know if you are interested in this.

SHOES

If at-home or beach, plan to go barefoot. Otherwise, don't forget to dress from head to toe with intention.

TEXTURE + LAYERS

Mix patterns and layers in small doses to give more dynamic. Everyone in all solid colors tends to be boring. No logos.

PLAN PLAN PLAN

Layout everyone's wardrobe before the session.

How does it look together? Need to switch anyone's pieces up?

Please text me for feedback!
